Gillian is a PhD student in the Integrative Genetics and Genomics graduate group at UC Davis. She received her B.A. from Harvard University in 2020, majoring in Human Evolutionary Biology and minoring in Integrative Biology. Her research interests are wide and include investigating evidence for mate selection based on HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen) dissimilarity and using methylation quantitative trait loci in admixed ancestry populations as a model for searching for gene by gene interactions. In her free-time she loves running, hiking, and playing games of any sort.
