Bio

Disang is a Genetics and Genomics undergraduate at UC Davis with a strong interest in southern African human population genetics, particularly the work conducted in the Henn Lab. She is currently assisting in the development of a socio‑economic status index for a population in the Northern Cape, South Africa, to examine how social capital and status shape susceptibility to Tuberculosis. In her free time, Disang enjoys cooking and hosting friends, traveling with loved ones around the world, and spending time with her family in her home country of Botswana.
